Admission Application for 2024

• Admission to Undergraduate qualifications at UNISA in 2024 will be available on 9 January 2024 and closes on 3 February 2024.
• This includes higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, and degrees. 23 January 2024 to 8 February 2024 for honors degrees & postgraduate diplomas
• Applicants for master’s and doctoral degrees must apply up to 31 January 2024

UNISA Application 2024 Process

• If all of your applications are successful, you can only register for one (if all of your applications are unsuccessful, you can only register for one).
• Your application outcome will also be notified by UNISA. You will be notified of the qualification you have been accepted into and will also be offered a space for the first semester if you were accepted.
• During the prescribed period of time, you must accept or reject UNISA’s offer. We will give the available place to another student if you are unable to meet this deadline. UNISA Admission 2024-2025
• Prior to accepting a UNISA offer, those applying for the first time must complete the First-Year Experience MOOC (massive open online course).
• There should only be one offer you accept. The other offer will automatically be withdrawn if you accept one program, even if it is your first or second qualification.
• If you are eligible to accept UNISA’s offer for semester 1 in 2024, you should register for the session in which you have been admitted. It is necessary for you to reapply for admission in the next application period if you do not register for the necessary semester. UNISA Admission 2024-2025

UNISA APPLICATION 2024 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

• Your school qualifications should be provided. To find out what school qualifications are acceptable for admission in each country, click here. 
• The transcript of your tertiary education (if applicable) must be provided.
• Your passport ID should be included as well
• (if applicable) A copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree
• If the documents are not in English or Afrikaans, the applicant must provide an original sworn translation
• You will need to complete the M30 form – Application for a Certificate of Conditional Exemption (ONLY for bachelor’s degree studies – not for bachelor’s degree studies in technology) (PDF 33KB) and provide supporting documents if you intend to apply for an exemption certificate. Postgraduate diploma and honors degree applications for 2024 at UNISA:

• An applicant’s tertiary academic qualifications must be submitted along with a copy of the legend.
• You will need a copy of your passport.
• In the case that the names on the academic record do not match the names on your passport, please provide copies of your marriage / divorce documents.
• Translations sworn into English and Afrikaans of original documents. UNISA Admission 2024-2025

Applications for master’s degrees and doctorates:

• Documents issued by the university, including all papers/modules passed, percents won, and the log. Unisa academic transcripts cannot be requested.
• Please provide a copy of your passport or ID.
• Under the departmental focus area requirements, a study summary, CV, and any additional documentation will be required.
• In order to upload a letter of approval, you must contact the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology before applying.
