Important Update in Stimulus Checks: Extra Money Still Available in These States. If you’ve been eagerly anticipating additional stimulus funds, you’re in luck. Stimulus checks worth a substantial amount are on the horizon in certain states.

Alaska: PFD Payment Update

Stimulus check payments are on their way to four different states, including Alaska. If you reside in Alaska, you might be eligible for the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) payment scheduled for release on November 16.

The stimulus check amount for Alaskan residents is $1,312. If you applied for this payment between January 1 and March 31, 2023, and haven’t received it yet, there’s good news.

Check your payment status on November 8, and ensure it reads “eligible-not paid.” This means your stimulus check will be available on November 16, 2023. If you missed the deadline, don’t worry; you can apply for it in January 2024. However, residents in Alaska must meet specific requirements to qualify.

Virginia: Upcoming Stimulus Checks

The state of Virginia is also gearing up to distribute stimulus checks, but it may take some time to reach all eligible recipients. Payments could begin arriving this month, and ideally, everyone should have received their funds by November 30, 2023.

This payment, amounting to up to $400, is exclusively for eligible residents. Couples can receive $400 if they meet the criteria, while single individuals are entitled to $200. In addition to residency, you must have a tax liability, meaning you owe money to the Virginia Department of Taxation. The stimulus check will be provided in the form of a tax rebate. Though not as substantial as Economic Impact Payments, it can be a welcomed relief for those in need.

The primary goal of these payments is to alleviate the high cost of living in Virginia. If you filed your taxes, you don’t need to take any further action. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will receive your funds.

Arizona and Alabama: Upcoming Stimulus Checks

In addition to Alaska and Virginia, Arizona and Alabama are also preparing to disburse stimulus checks to their residents.

Arizona: Tax Refund Stimulus

Residents of Arizona have the opportunity to benefit from a stimulus check in the form of a tax refund, with one key requirement: having a dependent. To receive up to $750, your last chance for eligibility is November 15.

If your dependent was younger than 17 in 2021, you may be eligible for up to $250. With the ability to claim up to three dependents, the maximum amount you can receive is $750. If you had a dependent older than 17 in 2021, you may qualify for a payment of $100. To be eligible for this stimulus check, you must have filed your tax returns from 2019 to 2021 on time.

Alabama: Tax Return Stimulus

Alabamans can receive stimulus payments of up to $150 (individual) or $300 (couples) if they filed their 2021 tax returns before the October 17, 2022 deadline. Payments will commence on November 30, with the option of direct deposits or paper checks. It’s important to note that dependents claimed by someone else are not eligible for this stimulus.

These upcoming stimulus checks aim to provide financial assistance to eligible residents in these states, helping ease the economic burden on individuals and families.
