Please log in to myNSFAS account via www.nsfas.org.za to apply for NSFAS 2024-2025. Due to COVID-19 regulations, NSFAS Online Applications for the academic year 2024-2025 will open on 28 September 2024 and close on 21 January 2025. We have announced the application deadline for 2024. The NSFAS bursary application for the 2024-2025 academic year should be submitted as early as possible to avoid late submission fees.
How to Apply for NSFAS Funding 2024-2025
First, you must register for a myNSFAS account and then submit your application online to apply for NSFAS Application 2024. If you are also sassa Sassa Social Grant receiver you can check sassa status onlone.
The following steps should be followed
- Visit the NSFAS website at www.nsfas.org.za
- To access myNSFAS, click on the tab at the top right corner of the NSFAS page
- You will be taken to the myNSFAS website
- Set up a myNSFAS account.
- Apply for myNSFAS once your account has been created
- The “Apply” tab will appear
- Providing the necessary information
- Please upload the necessary supporting documents
- You can submit your application online for evaluation
After submitting your application, NSFAS will notify you via SMS or email of the outcome. Applicants who were “Provisionally Funded” will be notified about the status of their application for the academic year 2024-2025.Chec you UNISA Application Status here .
NSFAS Online Application Supporting Documents 2024-2025
- Please provide a copy of your identification. You will be able to use a temporary ID issued by the Department of Home Affairs.
- The applicant should provide ID copies of their parents, legal guardians, or spouses if they are not SASSA members.
- Please provide a copy of the smart ID card with both sides.
- Application and/or parents/legal guardians/spouses (non-SASSA) should provide the latest payslip not older than three months, UIF letter, appointment letter, and retrenchment letter (applicant and/or parent(s), legal guardians/spouses).
- The Disability Annexure A form should be completed by people with disabilities.
what does NSFAS cover for UNISA students
UNISA students can receive funding for the following:
- Amount of tuition
- The number of modules registered will determine the number of books.
- Providing personal care allowances
A NSFAS representative will assist you in applying at a National Youth Development Agency Center, Thusong Centre, or one of the NSFAS application partner centers near you if you are unable to do so yourself.
