Reasonable accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis. It is your responsibility to discuss your needs with the University if you are seeking reasonable accommodations.
- A medical certificate from a Medical Practitioner, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), including a Psychiatrist, Psychologist or Occupational Therapist or from a recognized non-governmental organisation catering for that particular disability, must be submitted in support of all applications for Special Examination Arrangements. Students with a permanent or temporary disability will be eligible for these accommodations. When applying for the first time, students with a permanent disability will only need to submit the above mentioned certificate.
For the duration of the student’s term of study with the University, the University will make the same arrangements. The deadline for requesting reasonable accommodations for the first semester was 31 March 2023. In the second semester, reasonable accommodations must be requested by 31 August 2023.
